  • Did You Study or Teach Abroad?



    Hi everyone! We want to reach out and ask you to share your stories about studying or teaching abroad with us.

    You can submit your posts and we'll go through them and select posts for the frontpage. You can also have a say on what goes on the frontpage by voting for your favorite posts here.

    We hope you'll submit posts on:

    I have an associates degree in IT. Aside from my Navy experience, that's it. Depending on the school, they may require a Bachelors as a minimum, or some specialized training that you can complete online, though I see it as largely a waste of time/money. If you want to go to school to make this career ((which many do)) then I'd suggest majoring in Education. For the really nice careers, they only want certified teachers, so you'll need to teaching experience in your home country first. I've heard stories of people with just English Bachelors getting a job with international schools, but I personally don't believe it. Ofcourse, having anything higher than a bachelors would guarantee some type of teaching position at an international school.
