cool i studied abroad a couple years ago and posted about it, i'll have to look thru my old posts :)
I've posted my teaching experience, I hope one of the editors gets a chance to look through it, I was pretty thorough.
@PlasticPill@xanga - May I ask what courses did you take in order to teach abroad? Thanks
I have an associates degree in IT. Aside from my Navy experience, that's it. Depending on the school, they may require a Bachelors as a minimum, or some specialized training that you can complete online, though I see it as largely a waste of time/money. If you want to go to school to make this career ((which many do)) then I'd suggest majoring in Education. For the really nice careers, they only want certified teachers, so you'll need to teaching experience in your home country first. I've heard stories of people with just English Bachelors getting a job with international schools, but I personally don't believe it. Ofcourse, having anything higher than a bachelors would guarantee some type of teaching position at an international school.
