  • The 7 Natural Wonders of the World

Too Shy for Nude Beaches by Anne

I posted an earlier list on the New 7 Wonders of the World, but AMYxJADE pointed out that there are other Wonders lists too, so many in fact. But one of the lists she mentioned was the Natural wonders. So here it is. This is the list for the 7 Wonders of the Natural World compiled by CNN. There are other lists out there and they differ from each other slightly.

    Grand Canyon

    Great Barrier Reef

    Mount Everest

    Aurora (The Northern Lights)

    Victoria Falls

    Paricutin

    Harbour of Rio de Janeiro

I've only seen the Grand Canyon and the Harbour of Rio de Janeiro and have 5 to go.

But the New7Wonders of Nature is a recent effort to create a list of seven natural wonders that will be chosen through a poll from people around the globe. They want to give the people a chance to vote for the new list. This effort is being organized by New Open World Corporation (NOWC), which also coordinated the New Seven Wonders of the World campaign. If you have a favorite place, you can help vote to help make that place go into the new 7 Natural Wonders list.

Have you seen any of these 7 Natural Wonders? Would you travel to see them?

I've been to so many amazing places, but if I absolutely had to pick, I'd settle on a couple places to shorten the list. Madrid, Spain because that's where I did my study abroad program when I was 18 and it was there that the travel bug bit me so hard it left a scar. I haven't been the same since. And Vietnam. That's where my family is from. Although, I'm Vietnamese American, I never actually visited Vietnam until I was 26. It was an awesome experience to learn about my family's history and I was quite pleased to show off my vietnamese language skills to the locals. It's quite a big deal for an american-born.
