by AnneOut of all the finalists around the world that were nominated for the New 7 Wonders of the World list, people around the world voted and the official list was decided. At the Declaration Ceremony on 7/07/07, the New 7Wonders Organization announced the New
7 Wonders of the World List.
Here is the list in random order. The sites are all considered equal.
The Pyramid at Chichén Itzá, Mexico
Christ the Redeemer, Brazil
The Roman Colesseum, Italy
The Taj Mahal, India
The Great Wall of China, China
Petra, Jordan
Machu Picchu, Peru
You can read more about the other finalists that were put to vote
here. They are all great sites. There are just too many to have only 7, don't you think?
I've been to 4 out of 7 of these 7 Wonders and hope to see The Great Wall, The Taj Mahal, and Petra some day. That would be totally awesome!
Have you seen any of these sites? Are you planning to visit any of them?

wow i cant believe they even thought to change the list???!
these are the 7 man made wonders tho correct?
u should make a posting about the 7 natural wonders of the world :D
I believe theres also the 7 medieval wonders of the world as well lol
I wonder if they're going to change that too :(
I haven't been to any of them but I would love to visit them all!
I have not seen any of them, but given the chance I would like to see them.
I've only ever been to the colosseum, but I plan on seeing those all one day.
I'm a little disappointed that Hagia Sophia didn't make it in the top 7.
@AMYxJADE@xanga - You're absolutely right! There are other 7 Wonders. I wonder how many there really are. I'm guessing this list would fall under man made. You should definitely write something up on a different list and submit for front page.
I have been to both the Colesseum and The Great Wall of China.
It is now my personal goal to see all of the others.
The Taj Mahal most specifically
I haven't been to any of these 7 wonders, but I want to visit all of them before I die.
Never seen any of them. I've seen Dioclietians summer palace in Split (Croatia). Saw some cool castles in Northern Ireland. I try to see sites when I travel, but I don't travel for them.
I've been to 4 out of 7 also. I just visited Petra in December and it was amazing.
I don't get how the Pyramid at Chichén Itzá made the list! They should of picked Angkor Wat instead.
@anne - hahah i would but I suck at writing :D
I've been to Machu Picchu, Christ the Redeemer, and Chichen Itza. I would definitely want to visit all 7.
@AMYxJADE@xanga - K, I'll do the 7 Natural Wonders next on your behalf and say I got the idea from you.
I remember this and casting my vote back in 2007. I've only been to Colesseum in 1992. Hopefully I can see some of the other ones.
hahaah sounds good!!!! and fyi i live not even 20 mins away from niagara falls :P
christ the redeemer is totally overrated..there are plenty of those statues all across south america
but machu picchu is definitely amazing..totally worth the visit
All these wonderful places. Should not limit to 7!
I would love to possibly see all of them. Especially the pyramids of Gaza and Stonehenge!!
I think Nazca, Peru should be one of the 7.
i've never been there =[
I was just at Chichen Itza two weeks ago!!!
I got two more wonders to go and then I can die peacefully until they have the New New 7 Wonders of the World.
I'm sad the La Alhambra didn't make it. Have you ever seen it?! It's WONDERFUL. Sigh. I was there when the votings were going on.
I've not been to any of the seven above, but my parents have been to the Taj Mahal and the Great Wall.
@WinsomeWorld@xanga - Tell me about it!
I've been to some of these, but I've always been curious WHO creates these list(s). Like others on here, I feel I have better suggestions then some of the ones currently on the list. Just my opinion, ofcourse, but I can see I'm not the only one who feels that way.
I've been to the Colosseum,
Am going to the Great Wall this summer.
Plan to go to Brazil and Peru eventually....
Love to, if I have the $MONEY$ !!!
