• Amazing Lobster Pots in the BVIs

  If you are looking for fresh lobster on a quaint, but stunning beach in the British Virgin Islands, you are in luck my friend! On a little island called Anegada, you can find a jackpot of fresh lobster. The island itself is known for its laid back people and relatively untouched beaches.

  Its quaintness comes in part from its shallow shorelines, which limit the amount of sailboats that are able to anchor here for the night, making it less rowdy and expensive than some of the other BVI options. Although, the fresh lobster feast that is available to Anegada's guests is really a tough delicacy to pass up, and keeps people coming back for more.

  Once you arrive onto Anegada's sandy beaches, all you have to do is put in your order with one of the restaurants before hanging out at the beach for the rest of the day! There are only a couple of options for restaurants on the island.....there was only one option when I was there, but it may have grown since then......so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out where to go. All the chef needs to know is how many people are having lobster, so they can go catch them and start cooking!

  

  If you want, you can go out to the holding pot hooked off the side of the dock, where you simply point out which freshly caught lobster you would prefer. You couldn't ask for a fresher option than this! After putting in your order, you are free to walk around for a little while, or enjoy a cold beer on the beach. When you come back, the locals have set up a huge table chalk full of deliciously prepared lobster for you.

  I don't think I've ever seen that much lobster in my life! It is truely an amazing experience, and not to be missed if you find yourself down in the BVIs.
