  • Where to go in Sabah, the Second Largest State in Malaysia?

    Guest post submitted by YQtravellingKK

You don't come to Sabah to do shopping. So what can you do in Sabah? Visit an island.

When it's not raining, an island's the perfect picture of tropical paradise.  However, it has been raining in the evening these days so the waters will be choppy when you travel from harbour to harbour.

I'm using photos from last December's holiday for this entry. I rarely go to islands because even though I like swimming, I detest the sun. I hate getting sunburns.

To get to the islands, you have to take a speedboat. There is a government runned jetty somewhere near Wisma Merdeka, but I went from Sutera Harbour, a posh hotel with its private jetty.

Good thing about "posh" and "private" is that there is parking space and the water is very very clean.

It does look like something out of a calendar of Greece, don't you think so?

Have you ever been to Malaysia? Would you ever consider going?

The only place in Sabah I've been to is Labuan, though I know not many Sabahans consider Labuan as part of the state ;) And I LOVED Labuan.

Oh, orang KL kat sini yer! ;)

Labuan is actually a federal territory and not part of Sabah.  It has a very different history from Sabah actually.  Love the photos!
