Meadowhall a shopping centre, we have a few nice parks and other places of interest.
Pittsburgh: NATIONAL AVIARY!
Hong Kong: EDWARD YOUDE AVIARY!
Sorry I really like birds.
The first place I can think of is the CN Tower - the glass floor always freaks people out
The Columbus Zoo..
Tuttle Mall..
The Domain, the Capital, Zilker Park, all the clubs. :]
Gosh, I live in a town that's not even worth mentioning... it's so tiny and boring.
I live in the middle of two cities. Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Glasgow you would need to see George Square, take a tour of Ibrox Stadium coz it's amazing inside. Edinburgh has a lot more to see, it's more historic, like Edinburgh Castle, Arthur's Seat, and the Edinburgh Vaults if you're into ghost tours, there's just so much more in Edinburgh.
The beaches. West Auckland is famous for beaches. Surfing ones like Piha or Bethells or calm, tranquil ones like Cornwallis.
The lakefront
Sear Tower
Navy Pier
Millenium Park
Field Museum
Museum of Science of Industry
the beach
shopping on the loop
and you have to ride the train once to experience the horrors and joys of public transportation
= D
Forest Hill has a pretty sweet grocery-store-turned-post-office. It's right next to a train-station-turned-model-shop. They share the same parking lot!
And that is downtown.
There are some nice historic houses along the same street, if you like that stuff. All the rooves are made of the famous Delta Slate! (I sound like an idiot, and proud!)
If you ever happen to somehow end up in Detroit, I recommend you run far, far away very quickly.
In Kuala Lumpur- if shopping's your thing-
the KLCC shopping mall, (Twin Towers).
The National Monument.
Petaling Street- every tourist LOVES this place!
Central MArket
Perth, Australia- King's Park,
Alexander Library,
Cottlesloe Beach,
Scaraborough Beach
best places to visit here? Bars, health clinic, hospital, gun shop, funeral parlor, graveyard...
Not a lot of exciting places, but...
George Wyth State Park (lots of great trails and lakes)
Hartman Nature Reserve (more trails)
Waterloo Comm. Playhouse (for the play-goer)
Crossroads Theatres (for the movie-goer)
Grout Museum
Bluedorn Science Imaginarium (a playground for the imagination)
Downtown Waterloo
Cup of Joe (actually in a nearby town, but a cool retro-themed coffee joint)
The gun shop or maybe walmart if the gun shop is closed....
A lot of tourists really DO come here to San Diego... but a lot of times they just hit the zoo (which is great) or Sea World (eh, not as much.)
Definitely hit Balboa Park, La Jolla Shores, Mission Beach, Mission Bay, Belmont Park, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village. Also, the Wild Animal Park is really awesome if you're into that type of thing...I always recommend going to Rosenblatt for the College World Series (which is crazzzy and a blast!), the Henry Doorly Zoo, the casinos across the river, The Funnybone Comedy Club, Blue Sushi or any restaurant in the Old Market, the Qwest Center for concerts and major events, Dave and Busters or any of our movie theaters.
